Google is making a bold claim with its new Pixel 10: that it’s the smartest smartphone yet. The foundation for this claim is “Magic Cue,” a new on-device AI system powered by Gemini that proactively manages your digital life in ways no phone has before.
The system is designed to anticipate your needs. For example, when you place a call to an airline, your booking confirmation from your email automatically appears on the phone app’s screen. When a friend texts about meeting up, your phone suggests a place and shows your calendar availability in-line with your messages. This intuitive assistance is at the core of the Pixel 10 experience.
This intelligence is driven by the new Tensor G5 chip, which allows these complex AI tasks to run locally, protecting user privacy. The phone’s smarts also extend to photography with “Camera Coach,” an AI that analyzes your scene to help you take better photos by suggesting different framing and angles.
Combined with major camera hardware upgrades, including a 10x optical zoom on the Pro model, and a tougher, IP68-rated folding version, the Pixel 10 lineup makes a compelling argument. Google is betting that true intelligence, not just raw performance, is what will define the next generation of flagship phones.
