Despite President Trump’s announcement, there has been no official confirmation from either the Israeli government or Hamas regarding the agreement.
According to President Trump, the proposal outlines a process where Hamas would gradually dismantle its military resources, eliminate its network of tunnels, and relinquish its heavy weaponry under international supervision. In exchange, Israeli forces would conduct a phased withdrawal from Gaza. Responsibility for maintaining order would then transition to an international stabilization force alongside a newly formed Palestinian security administration.
The outlined roadmap also includes an immediate cessation of military operations preceding the start of the disarmament process. Under the supervision of an international verification committee, dismantling of heavy weapons, tunnels, and other military infrastructure is expected to follow. Reports suggest that Hamas has agreed to the framework in principle, with disarmament preparations anticipated to commence within 14 days, pending international approval and consensus from all involved parties.
